5.0 out of 5 stars Answers All Your "How Does My MacBook Work" Questions. Sept. 10 2011
By Diane - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I been using MacBook for about 5 years but have been learning on a slow curve. This book is for the beginner and for someone like me who knows how to do many things but could be doing a lot more with some guidance. I am very pleased with this book and am learning all sorts of shortcuts as well as new information. It is helping me to understand my computer and it's applications. I recommend this book for others who want to learn the basics and get more out of their MacBook.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to Do Everything MacBook Feb. 18 2011
By Pamela C. Rabke - Published on Amazon.com

I purchased my first Apple computer, a MacBook, last fall. This book saved my life. It got me over the first learning curve with minimal reading. It was actually the second book I bought. The first was too detailed and at least three times as long. I recommend highly for new MacBook users.

2.0 out of 5 stars Out of Date April 5 2013
By Chopinzee - Published on Amazon.com

I just purchased my first laptop, a MacBook Pro loaded with OSX Mountain Lion. I thought this book might help me learn more about the new computer as well as about the newest Apple operating system. Unfortunately, this book, as it turns out, came out before Mountain Lion (apparently even before Lion). It's hopelessly out of date. It does, however, have nice graphics and photos; so, if you're just interested in general stuff about MacBooks and not about the newer operating systems, it might be of some use to you.
4.0 out of 5 stars Best for the Job April 6 2013

I have been teaching a course in Apple operating systems. With Apple, the use of an operating system is directly related to the use of the device. Most students tend to use laptops, in this case MacBooks. I used another book at first, but found that the presentation was incomplete, and not easy to navigate. Switching to this book was a good choice, and I found that many people preferred it over my previous recommendation.
