ELVIS's first gospel lp is so enjoyable that i was bound to be a little disappointed by his second, released 7 years after.I've listened it three times before rating it.There are a few gems like SOMEBODY BIGGER THAN YOU AND I,SO HIGH and CRYING IN THE CHAPEL(recorded a few years before),but somehow the ensemble is less convincing this time.Amazingly, this was ELVIS's biggest seller in the sixties after BLUE HAWAÏ. I am glad that they included YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE as one of the bonus tracks. After this,ELVIS reinvented himself with the 1968 tv special and the superb FROM ELVIS IN MEMPHIS(after a few soundtrack albums). If you are not a maniac of the singer, you can skip that one. However, this is only one man's opinion.
