Just a nice sounding voice ..., Feb 25 2006

I first stumbled on clips of the voice of Frances Black from a DVD by her sister Mary Black, whose talents I have long admired.
Frances, in talent, certainly equals the talents of her sister, what a nice sounding set of vocal chords.
This CD is lively at times, and soft at other times.
Like the entire Black Family, a real talent.
Would love to have more of her music, a real talented lady is Frances Black.

Where has this singer been all my life? Her voice with its beautiful tone and irish lilt would melt the hardest heart and there are fantastic songs on this album - magdalen laundry would bring tears to your eyes, how sweet the tune is divine and I could go on and on. frances black is an amazing singer, on hearing this album, I want to rush out and buy all of her others. Can't recommend her highly enough.

I have most of her albums and this is my least favorite. The feelings just aren't as intense as in her early albums. Still she is better than anything you'll hear in the top 20 today.
