Starting around age thirteen, any resentment one's child has suddenly comes out in spades. "How to Raise Kids Who Won't Hate You: Bringing Up Rockstars and Other Forms of Children" is a parenting guide from celebrity and father Alan Thicke, as he delves into the realm of parenting and how to parent without the result of your child groaning at talking to you later in life. Light hearted and plainly spoken, Thicke dives into the many problems that parents face and has sage advice, making "How to Raise Kids Who Won't Hate You" a fine and highly recommended read.

After seeing Alan on The Today Show I went out and bought the book. What a delightful read. I loved him on Animal Mircles and I really loved this book. Its a must have for your book collection. He puts a light hearted spin on some tough parenting situations. Although my daughter isn't a teen yet reading Alan's stories and suggestions will really help when she reaches those years. Put this one on your Christmas list.

I totally recommend this book. Being a parent it was nice to see the humerous side of things. When your dealing with kids you usually don't see the humor in it but Alan's book show's the funny side of everyday parenting. A great read for everyone not just parents. Put this one on your list of things to read.

I recommend this book, it was a fun light read. The stories that are told are entertaining yet helpful. A book all parents and grandparents can relate to. The writers humor and personality are reflected through out the book. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Quick, easy, fun read. With every page I would think "I can relate to that!!" The only disappointment was when I reached the back cover because there was no more to read. Hey Alan how bout vol. 2 ???? Highly recommend for a light hearted lift.
