Once opened, this book can be read while taking notes in less than an hour. At first, it appears written to the middle school level but eventually introduces concepts to build a scholarship search around. References to add to your knowledge are adequately cited. The simple and sometimes biographical nature of this work doesn't necessarily meet the unique needs of the reader but should spark an idea or two that could make the expense seem minimal down the road. If you can use this book as a jumpstart to your scholarship plan, then it might be worth the read, but if you are looking for a comprehensive guide - skip it - as they too seemed to skip the proofreading!
