Save your money! The first half of this book lists pointless facts about Canada, including our radio broadcast stations, # of internet users, our telephone systems, etc. The other half includes questionnaires (are you ready to become an entrepreneur?) a glossary and a list of "useful" websites. I was interested in one section called "Government Money for your Business". It stated that free government grants are available to first-time entrepreneurs, but it didn't discuss eligibility or where to send applications. I did some research online, and found that the entire paragraph was plagiarized! [...]Not only does the book not list citations, it has gramatical errors. Needless to say, I'm extremely dissapointed and ask that you think twice before purchasing this book.

There is some useful information in this book, but also lots of unnecessary information that can easily be found on the Internet or reading newspapers. There is a long list of facts about Canada that, by the time your read the book, are sometimes outdated. This book was written for immigrants coming to Canada that have close to zero knowledge about the country - useful first book for them to read, but I didn't need to be told what are the major cities or most important industries in Canada - not useful for me to start a business.

The 2nd edition is really good one packed with up-to-date information and philosophical touch. A very motivational book which will not only encourage you to become an entrepreneur but will teach and guide you on each and every step to start a small business in Canada . Full of information from basic to advance level of small business start-up and management rules that are applicable anywhere in the world regardless of geographical boundaries . This book also gives link to download free and latest Canadian Taxation system guide for small businesses which is a must to understand and act upon for every small business in Canada.Information on Canada, business quotes and 14 points for doubling your productivity for success in business and life are absolutely wonderful and inspiring. I just added the best book on small business in my library of books on small business. You must read it even if you want to start a small business in any part of the world. Best of Luck.
