Am just starting, but already like the writer's style and approach. I like anything that encourages out-of-the-box thinking and creativity. Don't be fooled - or put off - by the use of "successful" in the title. The focus is on personal success in overcoming limitations, learning from the past and being open to possibilities. And it is a tidy little book, perfect for the bedside table or public transit commute.

This book is a primer on how to organize and utilize your thinking for success. John Maxwell does an awesome job in outlining the different types of thinking. His advice is practical and immediately usable.

The different types of thinking include;
Big-Picture Thinking
Focused Thinking
Creative Thinking
Realistic Thinking
Strategic Thinking
Possibility Thinking
Reflective Thinking
Popular Thinking
Shared Thinking
Unselfish Thinking
Bottom-Line Thinking

Maxwell gives you practical advice and some pragmatic examples on how to develop each type of thinking. The book is filled with nuggets and useful information.

Good book but not some of Maxwell's best work. I highly suggest "15 Invaluable Laws of Growth" instead of this book.

Wow! Thing book hit a home run in every chapter. There is so much good information to chew on. I could have highlighted the shoe book! But, that would have been silly. :)
