A Very Good Primer on Marketing and Conversion,
By
This review is from: How to Win Sales & Influence Spiders: Boosting Your Business & Buzz on the Web (Paperback)
I found this just as promised in the description and believe it to be down-to-earth actionable stuff. Not airy-fairy MBA marketing speak. Catherine has a combination of case studies and practical experience that she provides to the reader. This helps you see the results of the desired actions. For a business reader to understand the techie,mumbo-jumbo of SEO geeks is a challenge, probably because it increases their value as specialists. It is also a great compendium of free tricks you can use as business boosters. She writes practically and paints a good picture of the good, bad and ugly when she discusses CPA networks, contextual and search advertising. It was well worth the How to Win Sales & Influence Spiders: Boosting Your Business & Buzz on the Weband probably will generate a higher ROI than some fancy seminar in Vegas or Orlando. I intend to go to her [...] to get more free goodies and learn more about his author

I just wanted to add that I find it rather suspicious that all the earlier reviewers had written 1 or 2 reviews in total and are bragging about this book like hell. They also share similar vocabulary and writing style...

Great online marketing and PR advice that is worth thousands of dollars,
By Manny Hernandez "@askmanny" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: How to Win Sales & Influence Spiders: Boosting Your Business & Buzz on the Web (Paperback)
I learned about Catherine Seda back in 2004, when she published her classic book "Search Engine Advertising". Earlier in 2007, she came back with this other title, "How to Win Sales & Influence Spiders", one that handsomely complements her work and offers marketers and business owners alike a plethora of information to feed from and make the most out of the options available nowadays to catapult your business online. With the assistance of contributing author Amanda Watlington (another legend in the Search Marketing space), Catherine covers PR, blogging, social networking, podcasting, e-mail campaigns, affiliate marketing, PPC and more sharing her knowledge while she interviews experts in each of the topics and wraps up each chapter with an insightful Success Story (read "case study") to drive the points home. In the end, between the material covered and its relevance, combined with her fresh writing style, the book ends up being an enjoyable read that is worth thousands of dollars, if you apply her suggestions as a part of your marketing and PR efforts. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Just when I was ready to wipe the dust off of my Internet Marketing Books to "brush up" from just a year ago, out comes this book. After reading this book, I realize now that my "other" books seem antiquated. I have no need for them now as "Win Spiders" has introduced me to the next generation of Web Buzz and Marketing. Catherine Seda really has her finger on the pulse as this book opens your eyes to what is working now and what is not working. If your not using these techniques this book teaches, your behind the eight ball. I would like to see a full blown "course" from the author as I will be the first in line to own it. Great Job !! |
