I ordered two copies of this book for Christmas gifts after seeing the author on the Ellen show. I was a little disappointed though as many of the recipes call for substitutes for real food items. While I understand this is how the recipes are lower in calories, I guess I am just used to using real food with nutritional content. If you are just into the bottom line of knowing how many calories you eat, then this book would be great for you, but if you aren't a fan of chemicals and preservatives, you might want to look elsewhere!

The recipes in this book are easy, delicious and could change the way you live the rest of your life. There are so many tips and suggestions on how to cut down on calories and fat in the foods that you eat. It's opened my eyes to my past food selections so now I will make the right choices when planning my daily intake of calories. Even if I don't follow the recipes exactly, I'm still confident that I can select healthy alternatives.

Most of the recipes sound very good, but I am concerned with using food substances, like Splendid, instead of natural sugars and what that does to our bodies. Hopefully, I can modify the recipes with Agave nectar.

This book is full of original ideas and easy recipes. The servings are reasonable, not to feed an army. The only issue i would have with it is there is a section in the book that is recipes requiring the ingredient Vita tops which i had never heard of and still have not been able to locate in a grocery store yet but other then that the taco salad is fantastic and all the apple recipes!! MMMmm this book is great!

I had heard about Hungry Girl books and decided to borrow one from the library and try some of the recipes. Subsequently a week later I decided I had to have this book for my own and ordered it, as well as another Hungry Girl book. There's great, easy recipes and I sometimes substitute for other ingredients for a different taste. All in all, has helped with creating new meals.

Great Ideas to lighten things up. Also really cute ideas like cupcakes in ice cream cones! How adorable! However the reliance on using all the "low fat" "reduced calorie" and highly processed chemical laden substitutes were kinda scary for someone with sensitivities to all that stuff.

This one was okay. I had issue with a lot of the ingredients that she had to use to get stuff to be within calories range. I guess once in a while is okay but not a steady diet of it. A lot of not so healthy sugar substitutes etc.
