Very useful and not cheap-looking,

For the price, I was worried it would look cheap and not be too sturdy, but it's not the case. It's real metal rods and has foam where the guitar rests. It comes in pieces and you have to assemble it, but you don't need any tools and it's easy.It's also pretty stable (the bottom, where you lay the guitar, is mobile and rocks from side to side. Of course once the guitar lays on it with the neck in place and you don't touch it it doesn't move anymore). Only 2 things that bug me : 1)It's not very long, so especially for my guitar controller which is full lenght (not 2/3rd like the regular rock band guitar controller for ex.), the neck support doesn't come to the top of the neck but about half. It still does the job though. 2)The little plastic band to secure the neck in place (a lock mechanism, if you will) is so hard to put in and remove that I never use it! I merely turn it so it sits in from and looks like I put it on, but never really snap it on. Not only would it take me too much time, but I fear I'd make the guitar fall in the jerking move I'd need in unsnapping it!

I have purchased this stand for the Höfner bass guitar that comes with the Beatles Rock Band. Since the body of the Höfner bass is rather narrow, I was not sure that it would stand on the bottom fork. I am happy to confirm that that it works and size is not an issue for McCartney's bass.Besides that, I entirely agree with the review "Very useful and not cheap-looking" made by Annie-Danielle Grenier.
