Video: Taken from the original 65mm negative intended for IMAX 15/70 theaters, the 1080p/VC-1 encoded transfer framed in 1.85:1 aspect ratio is breathtaking and spectacular. Contrast and brightness levels are perfectly balanced, giving the image a gorgeous three-dimensional depth. The scenes with the jellyfish and the great white shark are simply amazing. (5/5)

Audio: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 is adequate. Jim Carrey's narration cannot be compared to that of David Attenborough in the Planet Earth and Life series, but also adequate. I thought it was rather amusing to choose the music track Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps sung by Doris Day, during the cuttlefish mating sequence. You will understand the reason for the choice of the song when you watch that sequence. The title track of this video is at the end: Octopus's Garden sung by Leah Erbe, with the words Under The Sea in the lyrics. (4/5)

It is also educational to learn that the very large-sized IMAX camera weighs in at 1300 lbs and has only 3 minutes of film for each sequence. The entire film is rather short at 41 minutes, but I have a very enjoyable and relaxing time watching it. The price is also right at $15 (at 67% off). Highly recommended.

If you love the ocean and 3d than this one is a must to at least view once. The depth and colors look amazing and there's a memorable scene involving a potato cod that you will never forget. The only down side is that it's only about 40 minutes long but a lot of the IMAX 3d films are too short but sweet. :)
