I bought it because I heard the writer when he was on Coast to Coast radio show. I found him very knowledgeable and enjoyable. The first 3/4 of the book seemed to drag on. It was very detailed in how to win at craps and his studies at Gateway and the Monroe Institute.. As I have no interest in casinos, and I have also studied with Gateway, I ended up skimming a lot of the first 3/4 of the book. I did not need to be convinced that PK, manifestation and the power of the mind does exist.
The last 1/4 I found more interesting-no new information(ultimately there is no new information from anyone- just the same information given with a different point of view) It was a good fast summary for me from all my past teachers regarding our mind creating our own reality.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a great reminder to keep feeling good Nov. 3 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is one of those books that can be mind-blowing...it needs more than one read to absorb the message in it. It's a great reminder to keep feeling good, whatever that takes. The higher the better. Good things happen when we feel great.

5.0 out of 5 stars An important book for our times Jan. 1 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
As we move through times that are fraught with many terrible things happening in the world, it behooves us all to learn how to manage our energy and live up to our fullest potential. Managing our fear and cynicism is important. Dr. Gallenberger, through his unusual adventures through the world of psychokinesis in the rough and tumble atmosphere of Las Vegas (of all places), shows us how we can learn to assess our energy states, and consciously raise them to create positive things in our lives and in the world. Having attended several of Dr. Gallenberger's "Inner Vegas Adventures", I can personally attest to some incredible experiences of high energy to the point of knowing what the next dice roll will be and being in a prolonged (over an hour)state of total bliss and knowing, all while rolling dice at a craps table and betting (a perfect whole brain state). He uses the power of binaural beat technology (Hemi-Sync from The Monroe Insitute) to reach these powerful states. He then teaches us how to take these experiences into the real world of our lives and transform ourselves in positive ways. His is truly a unique approach to conscious living that will give you a solid foundation to consciously create the reality you desire.

1.0 out of 5 stars As a "How-To" book, it's a pretty good memoir Sept. 7 2013
By RedCloak - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I got about half a dozen chapters into this, and kept waiting, and waiting, for the memoir to end, and for the author to get into how to actually apply what he's talking about. I lightly skimmed the rest, hoping for more nuts and bolts and less narrative. Turns out, most of the "how-to" is neatly summed up as a series of bullet points in the final chapter. So picking up the paperback version of this was less of a "my-bad" than sevening out to the tune of five hundred bucks, but not by much. This really could have been released as a $2 ebook for as substantive as the practical stuff turned out to be.

There's a lot of sales pitch in here about the author's website, which has a LOT of expensive stuff for sale. That's fair: fish gotta swim, and authors gotta make their money. Fine. I get that. But if this guy's as good at the dice tables as he claims to be, he doesn't NEED to be charging as much as he does for a home study course, after having already gotten your money up front for the book that refers you to said courses. That just looks bad.

If he's serious about bettering the world--and I honestly don't doubt his sincerity on that--then he's certainly picking a somewhat sketchy way to go about it. Maybe this author didn't quite think through the perception this book might create for some readers: that such an awfully expensive "Look what I did!" sales pitch, for even more expensive stuff on the back end, looks a lot more like the behavior of a huckster, than the behavior of a healer.

If you want to read this as a personal narrative of what the unseen can do in a place like Vegas, you probably won't be disappointed. But if you're actually looking for a substantive "how-to" book, caveat emptor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Paradigm-changing book on manifestation April 8 2013
By Tom Atwater - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This easily-readable book is destined to be a major factor in the paradigm shift going on in new thought - it has immense practical applications of leading edge metaphysical truths in unique new ways, for both personal and global benefit and profit.

Basically it is the author's personal trek in learning how to fully realize how to create his own reality, as proven to himself by his amazing manifestations in the casino, in healings, and in every part of his life, and how he extends this knowledge to others through his workshops, home study course and Vegas experiences.

The book does not give a "system" in the sense that you can take what it says and perform some ritual or rote to achieve success in the casino and elsewhere - if that's what you want, look elsewhere. Instead, it's about shifting one's whole sense of being, one's core vibration, to allow for the possibility of, to believe, and to eventually know beyond question, that this power - the ability to heal, bend spoons, affect dice, grow seeds in your hand - all come from the heart, from the inside, from the core metaphysical part of us all.

Only by shifting oneself to this knowing can one achieve consistent success at doing these seemingly miraculous things - which are really no more magical than breathing, once one fully embraces this knowledge and ideas.
It's going to take work for most of us - meditation, releasing old resistances and blocking beliefs, visualization, for example - but in the end, what amazing new lives we will have, manifesting what we desire, at will!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sales Pitch for high price seminars April 27 2013
By Zardoz - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is a narration of the authors experiences with his system of pk & manifestation, not a useful protocol or a how to book. To learn anything useful you will have to buy his very expensive home study course or his even more expensive seminars. His students successes are recounted and that might be interesting but the reader will not learn anything in terms of doing it yourself.
If you buy this book, you are essentially paying for advertisement for the authors seminars, courses. You will not learn anything from this read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, I'm just going to say it, this book sucks. Period. Sucks. Period. Nov. 6 2014
By R. Hawk - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I wanted to like this book. I read alot of new age books on manifestation. Not just read, take extensive notes and put them into practice, daily.

This book starts out with a very intriguing premise, the use of manifestation in games of chance. That's something most people in the new age movement won't touch with a ten foot pole, because they consider it crass and base. Well it shouldn't be. Using the power of the mind to win games of chance is as legitimate a use for it, and as honorable, as any other use.

SO this book starts out with the very promising idea that you are going to be taught how to do this. But it turns out to be 100% BS. The entire contents of the book is nothing more than a highly repetitive memoir of the author's experiences in Vegas and the groups he organized to experience the same thing.

These stories start out being fascinating. But when you get to page 190 and think that its finally going to end and he's going to tell you in part 4 of the book how to do this yourself, you are sadly dissapointed. The book just keeps droning on and on about his personal experiences and how he's had such great success teaching them to others.

If you want to learn this yourself, you have to take an expensive residential course at the Monroe Institute, or spend $700 on his SyncCreation course.

THAT my friends, is where this whole topic gets really crass. And in my opinion, that is where it reveals the true motivation of this author. If he really had the good intentions of his readers at heart, why not give them a detailed instruction course in the book as to how to replicate his results? Instead he just refers to channeling your heart energy, expressing love...and all this will come to you.

Can you tell that I feel dissapointed? This is like walking out of a bad movie and wanting your $7 back, but instead it takes a much longer time to read this book, waiting for the "point" where it conveys something you can actually put into practice yourself, and seeing that it never gets there.

The book is constantly referencing his Sync course and Monroe, which most readers can't afford. However, I expect the thinking in writing this was, if I sell ten thousand copies, and only 100 of those people actually buy my course, whoo hoo, I make myself $70,000!!!!

Now let me just say, I am not a cynical person at heart. I actually have the Gateway CDs from Monroe. And I can say they are good, but they are not magical.

Everything conveyed in this book can be done by the average person, meditation, focusing etc... but there's no guarantee you will have great results. And this is where the real rub of the book is, where it lets the reader down. Because Mr. Gallenberger makes you believe on every page that he's discovered some wildly successful, magical approach to PK. But is he going to give you any real clue how to implement this yourself? Just a basic outline? Do this and this?

No. Unless you want to spend $700.

I'm giving this book three stars simply because it promotes the concepts of the Law of Attraction, manifestation etc. from the new perspective of gambling, and takes that to the level of other mystical abilities like healing. In this respect it was very promising.

But overall, if you feel the motivation to actually plod through this entire book, at the end you are going to feel let down. You're going to feel like you sat in a lecture hall for three days straight while Gallenberger told you about his wonderful experiences, but then went home no wiser really about how to implement them in a focused manner in your own life.

There is a word for this kind of writing in the nonfiction world. Its called pablum.

I really wanted to like this book. I support the ideas and approach of this book.

But in the final analysis, it offers nothing new. It teaches nothing.

It is merely an advertisement for a $700 course.

IMHO

If you will read my other reviews on Amazon, you will see that I am usually very positive towards new age books. I had high hopes for this one. I was in fact intending to buy it at full price since it sounded so good.

I'm glad I read a library copy first.
