Icewine: Extreme Winemaking
I have purchased a number of these books as they make a fabulous gift. First of all the book itself very classy - white hardcover with gilt lettering. Icewine is so delicious, exquisite and its creation so interesting, this book is one that is very intriguing and unique. Ice wine is very rare and pricey, but well worth the cost considering the difficult process required to create it. Living in wine country in the Okanagan valley in British Columbia, I am amazed every year in the early winter when I see frozen grapes quickly being picked at just the right time to ensure maximum sweetness. Extensive knowledge and skill is required for the making of ice wine and to get a quality result requires exacting conditions. For that special person in your life or for a rare celebration, what would make a finer gift that this special keepsake volume of the book Icewine: Extreme Winemaking with a precious bottle of Ice Wine - add two beautiful crystal glasses and perhaps some fine Belgian chocolates, lovely packaging and voila - a gift so fine it would be appreciated by those with even the most discerning of tastes!
