5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic music done the right way Dec 17 2002
Format:Audio CD
The Octopus Project uses electronic music, yes, but that in no way makes them techno, or electronica, or whatever else you want to call it. This is Electric Jam Out at it's greatest! This album is full of smooth transitions from guitar work to keyboard and back, bass lines that get you moving, and drums that hold it all together. While most instrumental (jam out) bands take themselves and their music overly seriously, TOP gives it a much needed playful groove. This is a great cd to sleep to, study to, party to, or even dance to. And plus they represent Austin Texas! Word!

Love most of the tracks on here, very original and dynamic sounds. Just have this cd on repeat in my car because it's that good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great show, great band, great album July 6 2009

The title pretty much says it all. Saw them live in Norman, OK and it was amazing. They somehow take themselves seriously while being completely playful and spontaneous. Listen to the previews because you can't express this band in words properly. The closest you can get is electro-rock, but that doesn't tell you much, now does it?
