How one can turn Sheldon's book into a "chick flick"?
After serving time in jail for a crime she didn't commit, Tracy Whitney, (Madolyn Smith, Urban Cowboy)teams w/ an suave elderly jewel theif who teaches her to pull off high-priced heists from the rich and famous. The love interest charming con artist Jeff (Tom Berenger, Inception),glides in and out of the story. Even the dynamic acting abilities of Liam Neeson, a French Interpol inspector can't save this sloppy romance, although he does make it more interesting. Add a psychotic insurance investigator who broadcasts his dysfunction throughout the story from running out of confessionsal to flashbacks into his childhood is determined to catch Tracy, but only makes the soap opera more soapy. Each individual actor does a good job w/ a silly screenplay that doesn't follow the book. The box summerises the feeling of this film by asking "But can Tracy trust Jeff enough to accept his help and admit her true feelings?" What happened to Sheldon's thriller?
