Product Description

From Amazon

For those animal lovers less inclined to adopt a furry friend, finding up-to-date reptile information and ownership instruction can be a challenge. Karen Rosenthal's The Iguana: An Owner's Guide to a Happy, Healthy Pet is both a perfect start for any new or potential owner and a quality-of-care check for seasoned owners. The Iguana covers everything from selecting an ectotherm and understanding its environmental needs to discussions on behavior and a glossary of relevant terminology. While the book is solid in content, it is always a good idea to investigate other resources for further discussion on controversial issues such as protein intake levels and keeping iguanas as free-roaming house pets. Rosenthal's book helps with this as well, and the bibliography is a great springboard to continued exploration.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it Feb. 10 2003

I agree completely with Harmony's review of this book. I recently purchased it at a pet store and returned it within an hour of buying it. The information is outdated and inaccurate. James Hatfield'd "Green Iguana-The Ultimate Owner's Manual" is superior by far, purchase this instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for first time owners. July 5 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
This book was great for my daughter who is a first time owner. She and I both found it very informative. Good for getting to know how to pick them up to how to feed and keep them when they get a lot bigger. Would defiantly recommend this book to others.
2.0 out of 5 stars Iguana Information June 16 2012
By Gary - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Upon reading this book I found a lot of interesting facts about Iguana's, but at the same time I found the book to be severly outdated and full of facts that were less important than care and feeding of your new Iguana. Would recommend a newer book!
