Skillfully Written,

This review is from: In Her Shoes: A Novel (Paperback)
'In Her Shoes' tells the story of two polar opposite sisters, Rose and Maggie. As much as the two despise each other, they can't seem to keep apart, because Maggie keeps finding herself is situations that require bailing out and Rose always comes to the rescue. After the death of their mother at a young age, Rose feels responsible for the younger Maggie and is always trying to parent her sister, despite Maggie's bad attitude and lack of effort to try and better herself. After Maggie sleeps with Rose's boyfriend, all bets are off and Rose cuts her sister off and vows to never help her again. This novel is an accurate depiction of sibling relationships and another with a sibling can relate. Most people feel some degree of responsibility for their sibling and their success, however most of us know when it's out of our hands and up to them to reach success. The tale of Rose and Maggie made me appreciate the normal relationship my brother and I have and the fact that we are *hopefully* past the stage of bailing each other out of tricky situations. I enjoyed the development of the character of Maggie and how she grew from shallow and vain to a character who was actually a person - someone who you could relate to and maybe even compare to someone you know. The development in this story was skillfully done and very enjoyable. I would (and have) reccommend this book to others.

This review is from: In Her Shoes: A Novel (Paperback)
Good in Bed or Little earthquakes cannot even compare to In her shoes. The others were boring and had no point, but in her shoes made you fall in love with every character and endearing portrayed sisterly love. It was such a good read and I couldn't put it down.

This review is from: In Her Shoes: A Novel (Paperback)
I didn't think this book was ever going to end. It started off pretty good, but at many points the book left me uninterested and the story plot itself becaming dragging. It was really hard to get through it and when I finally did, I was very disappointed. I kept waiting for something to happen, but it didn't.
