two great songs from Winehouse's debut..... May 5 2007
By D. Pawl - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
"In My Bed" is [in reference to the title of her album] quite frank, indeed. Amy Winehouse is asserting herself as an independent, sexually liberated woman. Though, some people might find the lyrics crude and even vulgar, she is truly being honest that (in her words) that [she] "sleeps alone." Plus, this song has a very catchy hip hop hook, and Amy sounds saucier than ever. "You Sent Me Flying" is a song about being dumped. That is the most straightforward and succinct way I can put it. Amy is recovering from being "kicked to the curb." Both songs are very descriptive, honest and blunt. Plus, the bonus cut is material previously unreleased on FRANK (at least, it wasn't on my copy that was released in the United States. Maybe British fans have this on their albums? I don't know).

In My Bed Sept. 23 2010
By rmcrae - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Released as the third single from her Frank debut, the Nas sampled thumper In My Bed is a cheeky reminder to a guy that any relationship with Miss Winehouse is strictly "friends with benefits". So trying to get all fresh with her in public like she's your girl is a big no-no. "Oh, it's you again/Listen, this isn't a reunion/So sorry if I turn my head/Yours is a familliar face/But that don't make your place safe in my bed, my bed, my bed!" Love the scrambled bass and Amy's impassioned scats at the end.

The piano led/disco flavored You Sent Me Flying finds the British songstress blindsided after being dumped by a lover. "And although my pride is not easily disturbed/You sent me flying when you kicked me to the curb!" Looks like the proud heartbreaker got a taste of her own medicine, huh? The acoustic Best Friend is yet another dysfunctional although slightly comical relationship set to music. "I can't wait to get away from you/Unsurprisingly you hate me too/We only communicate when we need to fight/But we're best friends, right?" Anyone else craving for some new Amy music?

All Amy All Good! Nov. 7 2007
By Day - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This CD, all though there are only 3 tracks on it, is excellent. I have all her CD's in constant rotation. If you can't get her CD's here try the AmazonUK. I got all of her CD's from there. Some of her single CDs are hard to get in the states. She is sultry, in your face, soulful and real.

Excellent sample of Amy Sept. 17 2007
By Girl Friday Reader - Published on Amazon.com

Both songs on this single are very excellent and give you a taste of what "Frank" sounds like. Amy's blunt and realistic lyrics in both "In My Bed" and "You Sent Me Flying" give me chills over how truthful and witty they are, and coupled with her amazing voice? Breathtaking.
