I couldn't go through with it, i gave up somewhere in DVD 3/3. Season 1 was half-okay, i was hoping that Season 2 would pick up and run, but it's even lousier than season 1. Sorry for not being more specific, it's been a while since i watched it, and lame is what i remember. I'm definitely not recommending it. I am surprised at the apparent majority of positive reviews. I will not hold on to my copies of either seasons 1 and 2.
To the producers, sorry for such a harsh review, my advice is that you get better writers, or let your writers fly freely, or whatever you need to do to make it worthwhile.
As for the cast and the characters, i like Mary Shannon, her boss (quite good), her sister Brandi (quite good too), the new office administrator woman (good); Mary's mother is a bit overdone, although let's face it she is good; and the acting of he who plays Marshall is weak. I don't know how he performs elsewhere, perhaps in this series he is poorly directed, but i find him unconvincing. As for the guest characters, the ones whose story is treated in a particular episode, they're okay, but they don't impress me anywhere like the ones in House, M.D.: Season One (all seasons actually) do.
