Tiesto at his worst...,
By A Customer
This review is from: In Search of Sunrise 4:Latin a (Audio CD)
Unfortunately I did not enjoy this offering from Tiesto...having followed the In Search of Sunrise series from the beginning I have to say that although the tracks are fresh and new, reflective of the new trance sound, the selection was weak and static. So far the peak of the series was the third installment, and I was really hoping he would up the ante with the fourth...instead what I heard was track selection for the masses. I suppose that after having reached the status of DJ of the world he's trying to reach too many audiences at the same time and loses his focus. This cd was, to my ears, produced for the masses and just lacks the emotional quality he used to be able to pull from his selections. Overall, this cd was a disappointment, and I still feel that when we heard In Search of Sunrise 3, we were listening to the peak of a career.

Ok, Tiesto has been travelling a lot this year. He never really got to continue the 'In Search of Sunrise' collection. This 2 CD set features pleasant tunes, dance-floor rocking beats, and some vocals. Personally, I don't like vocals, and most of them are on the first CD, and they don't really compare to the vocals, of the first two 'In Search of Sunrise' CD's, but more to the third one, which in my opinion was not the best of the four. Nothing could have beaten the first CD's blend of trance-techno tracks, and the vocals were a lot better. The second was still strong, and the songs on that track kept putting me into a nice mood and that is what the title is all about. The third one was just awful. It maybe have started off ok, but I couldn't feel the same way like in the first two. I guess Tiesto had to take some time off. Touring and being in the Olympics in Athens, he was a busy man. So when we decide to come back and do this, he put it in a good, solid collection of tracks. Man, like I never heard a rebound in trance music like this. ISOS 4 is a great album with a great start in both CD's, the first in pretty much a mixture of vocals and trance, the second is my favourite one. The beats keep coming, non-stop and it finishes great from beginning to end. When you have a tough day, you need something to relax you, and these CD's do a fantastic job in doing that. The music really can put you to sleep and kept you feeling like you're in a sun setting beach for a long time. That's how effective the CD's are in keeping you entranced until the CD is finished. Anyways, you have to buy this CD, even if you haven't bought any other ISOS CD's, it is worth it.

thats one list that everyone needs to have in their collection. i liked the fact the tiesto didnt focus much on mixing the tracks. the point was for the people to listen to the track itself. Well done.
