Chase Banter and her dysfunctional family are back for another rollercoaster ride of fun and high jinks.

Chase has changed since becoming a parent. She no longer avoids taking the odd risk here and there. Neither does her ever loving spouse Gitana. Her culinary skills always end up in utter disaster. Much to the dismay of Chase and Bud and laugh out loud humor for the reader.

Writer, Chase, is on the board of the Lesbian Illumination Institute, but she wants out of it. She ends up at loggerheads with her BFF Lacey. Much hilarity ensues, involving hand cuffs and shady characters.

Gitana and Chase's six year old (going on twenty) daughter, Bud, is an aspiring film maker. She is going to make a documentary of Chase's journey to her new found fearless self, as well as anything else she fancies filming along the way. On her journey of self discovery, Chase learns to skateboard, gets herself a job gift wrapping and excels at it, even entering a competition. She puts herself in the middle of a germ filled clinic, all to prove how she has changed.

Of course, Chase still has her muses, Divine Vulva and Commercial Endeavor keeping her company, just to add to the gut aching laughter.

As if all this isn't enough, jumping out of a plane looks to be on the cards too. But will Chase be up for it, or back out at the last moment?

This book is crazy, an absolute side splitting laugh throughout. Although Chase didn't give birth to Bud, they are both so in tune with each other it's uncanny. There are lots of wonderful multidimensional characters playing large and smaller parts all interacting really well together to further the story in this hilarious fun filled lesbian family romp. Lacey, Chase's best friend is the sort of friend I think I'd feel the need to swiftly strangle. She has some huge control issues. I loved the way Chase eventually sorted her out. Donna is another great character too. It was nice to finally find out a little bit more about her.

My all time favorite character is Bud. I just love the way she is. Although I have to say, I'm glad I'm just reading about her rather than living with her.

I'm not sure if this was the last in the series, I'd love to see another book, especially one where Bud reaches adolescence. If Bud is the way she is at six, just think of the fun she will have when she's sixteen! Which means as a reader, great fun for us too.

I have read all of Saxon Bennett's books, and I never fail to laugh while reading. I was so excited to find out that Bennett would be writing another Chase Banter and family book. I love the crazy adventures and situations Chase ends up in, and she's rolling in them deep in this book. I couldn't put the book down, I HAD to finish it, but there were two instances where I did put the book down, and that was ONLY because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hold onto the book. (And now i'm laughing again from picturing those two scenes). I love how colorful and alive the characters are in Bennett's books, I feel like I'm there with them, and this book is no exception. I really do hope we get to visit the Banter family again in the future, I want to see what Bud is like when she's in her tweens and how Chase handles it, especially since she's having some issues and Bud is only six. My only issue with the book, is not really with the story, its what's in the book synopis, for lack of a better word. On the back page, it mentions how Bud is eight-years old and in the book, she is six, although being eight is a big issue (for Chase, that is). Other than that, I didn't want the story to end. Seriously, I think I broke something laughing during the final gift wrapping contest. I was happy we got visit with almost all of Chase's friends, although I did miss a few, but finding out a bit (teeny tiny bit) about Donna kinda helped. I have already re-read the book since I received it on Wednesday. Ty Saxon Bennett for a wonderful read ! Looking forward to the next book !

I enjoyed the story and the characters had such depth and OMG was it fun. The witty banter and the relationship between the two main characters was amazing. Their connection with each other emotionally and physically was astounding..how they interacted and not to mention how realistic it was. It's hilarious and will definitely keep you entertained as well as glued to your seat since you won't wanna put iit down. I love her style and how everything just lows naturally as if it you know these characters and are witnessing everything happening, she pulls you in and you literally feel like they are your friends. You won't regret I promise..it's a great read from an amazing writer and I cannot wait to read more of her books. I found myself highlighting a lot of the witty banter and quotes..hilarious..I truly enjoyed it =)
