Product Description

Andrea Bocelli's 2008 studio album, Incanto, is a homage to Love featuring a group of songs which have told love stories in music for the past 170 years. CD and Deluxe CD/DVD features 14 new recordings plus the documentary telling the story of Incanto (enchantment) highlighting the romance and lust of Italy during the 1950's. It is a collection of the most famous Italian songs, including 'Mamma', 'Funiculi Funicula' and 'Santa Lucia'. They are the songs which have enchanted Bocelli since childhood. Popularized through concert, radio and record and the film industry by the great tenors of the 19th and 20th centuries, this selection of songs is a celebration of the Italian tenor tradition.

This album is more classical opera than the pop ballads in his last studio album Amore. Amore is much more easy listening and relaxing, but this is more representative of Andrea's roots and musical training.

I wasn't sure at first if i would like the cd, and listening to it for the first time, wasn't easy cause it I prefer when Bocelli sings pop, but I have to say the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me, and now I just love it. It definitely isn't my favorite album, (but that's just because some of his other albums are just amazing), but I'm definitely glad to have bought it, cause it shows a different side of Bocelli, that I like almost as much.

I think Andrea Bocelli is a wondeful singer and I have learned to love listening to his music.

Old style Italian. Not my personal thing.

Have purchased most of Bocelli's CDs and usually find them to be great (we listen to them again and again, mix them in with our MAC Genius and don't get tired of them) - containing beautiful ballads/duets and rich soft backgrounds. Unfortunately, bought this one on David Foster's recommendation without listening to it. It is harsh & uninteresting to listen to..blaring horns, accordians and almost sounds like marching music! Will be tossing it as it costs too much to return it...very very disappointed....will look to hear a sample of any future recordings before buying.
