very helpful considering you can't find all this info on your own July 10 2011

Someday when Apple gets it together and puts out a manual you can actually buy, instead of printing out their on-line manual and wasting your ink and paper, this will still be useful because a collection of apps and their sites is always useful information.

Rather disappointing Feb. 23 2012

I thought this would be a really helpful book to have in sorting thru all the different apps for my new iPad, but I was really disappointed with the overall content. For me, there were only a few apps that sounded interesting, but overall I could have found the same info in the Apps Store and saved myself $13

I find the book hard to use. It may just be me, not the book. I am just getting started with my ipad.

Please, please, please update! Oct. 7 2013
By Judith - Published on Amazon.com

This would have been a five star book for me if I had read it three years ago. The two authors did a comprehensive job of going through many iPad apps and choosing the cream of the crop. They offer up the pros and cons to help the reader choose the one that is right for the task s/he wants to accomplish. The chapter on accessories would have been especially helpful. I loved the tip about going to a craft store, and buying a cheap wooden plate rack for under $10 instead of an expensive stand. Unfortunately, this book was written in 2010, so it is hopelessly outdated. Oh, I still got some ideas for types of apps I might want to try, but the recommendations of specific apps are too old to help very much. I really, really, really wish they would update this book.
Good advice on what Apps to get May 7 2014

This is a good book to give some recommendations the Author thought were good Apps for the iPad. I've tried many of them and agree with the Authors. With about a million or so Apps available for the iPad, this is a great list of Apps divided up by category, e.g., Business, Games, etc., to help you get started...or, to look at some Apps you may have missed.
