karin slaughter is now my favorite author. i hate that she killed (i will not say name in case you have not read it) one of my favorite characters.......my only negative is SHE NEEDS TO WRITE MORE ...I HAVE READ ALL HER BOOKS AND WANT MORE

INDELIBLE by Karin Slaughter is the fourth book in the Grant County series (read the series in order which starts with BLINDSIGHTED). This book was perfect for the series as it was a book that keeps the series in the present but also takes the loyal fans back into the past for a second story involving a couple of the key characters in the series. We learn more details that helps to explain why these characters are who they are today. The past and present stories ride different tracks as the book progresses and by the end of the book we exit only into the future.Karin Slaughter is the author that has most impressed me over the last year as a new author that I started to read. I have given her first four books solid 5 star ratings and hope the trend continues. Quite amazing I must say.
I haven't been a fan of a couple of her past titles but I think this one, INDELIBLE, fits the story perfectly.

I live in Georgia - in the mountains just northwest of Atlanta and just discovered Karin Salughter's Grant County series. I'm reading them in order (this one is #3). This was the best so far and sure cleared up some details that were not obvious before. I really enjoyed the "then and now" format - finding out what happened in the past and how it affects the current story.It explains so much looking back at the first 2 books - I can hardly wait to start the next one - time to download it!!
