A favourite in our house,
Ce commentaire est de: Indian Trilogy Single Vol (Paperback)
This book has been read many times in our house, beginning at around age 9, and still enjoyed now by my pre-teen children. It is a perfect read-aloud classic that encourages children to visualize and opens their imaginations. I am looking forward to reading it again with my younger children.

A Classic for kids!!,
Ce commentaire est de: Indian Trilogy Single Vol (Paperback)
This is a great book for kids, probably starting at age 5 if you read to them, up to age 10 or so for them to read themselves. It is well written and engaging. Basically, a young boy gets a magic key for his birthday which enables him to bring plastic toys to life. It teaches kids about empathy, caring for the needs of others, and intercultural sensitivity.

Indian and the Cupboard,

Ce commentaire est de: Indian Trilogy Single Vol (Paperback)
This is a must reading for anyone over the age of eight. Either read it to your child or get your child to read it by themselves. It soars the imagination and every child can relate to the immensity that this caretaker takes on. It is really funny in places and sad in others, but the theme is wonderful. It will go down as a children's classic. I read it to both my two children (who are now 32 and 34) and all my classes (5th and 6th graders) and it was loved by all.

These three are the best ones,

I remember reading these three in Elementary School, back in the late '80's and I really liked them. I may buy them again. The last two, numbers 4 and 5, are not as good with 4 being better than 5. I would not buy those two. Those get away from the Omri/Little Bear/Boone story more. The best is the first trilogy.
