A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (Mass Market Paperback)
This is an interesting book. When I'm reading about the action scenes I can't put the book down. The book does have some slow parts but overall a great book. If it had more action I would've given a 5 star. But I think this book is a good buy.

The book Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark follows the movie pretty well. The author does a good job of describing Indy and the adventures he goes on, and he does a good job of getting the reader interested. He starts off with a burst of excitement and you think you'll really like the book, but then he begins describing the conversations in great detail. That's bad because it seems as though the conversations last for 30 pages.
The author also makes the action parts short except when Indy is escaping the underground temple in Cairo, when he gives a little too much detail. Many of the parts are very confusing, like the layout of the bar and the building with the gold head.
I think that this book is written well, but the author needs to make the action parts longer. I also think that if you haven't seen the movie this book is not for you, because you will get totally confused about the layout of different places.
I recommend this book to kids who have seen the movie and like Indiana Jone. Or if you think Indiana Jones is okay and you love stories with action, this is the right book for you.

I'm passing the Indy luv down to my son. He is 9 and a complete fanatic. As a matter of fact he is watching the first one now. I bought this book along with the other 2. My son is still on the first book and he really enjoys it. My husband and I are big fans as well. My son and I recommend this book to any child or adult. Have fun reading the adventure!
P.S. Thank you Amazon!
