Product Description

From the Publisher

Jorge exceeded all of our expectations with his new work. The book has everything anybody could possibly want to know about growing cannabis indoors. It is especially strong on new technology including hydroponics and high intensity lighting. The sections on plant nutrient problems, insects, spider mites and diseases especially fungus are extremely informative. For example, he dedicates four pages of detailed text and two color pages (8 color photos and drawings) exclusively to spider mite control. Click on "see more pictures" to the left of the cover to view just a few of the 39 life-like color drawings and photographs that illustrate specific nutrient (fertilizer) problems. Four case studies detail everything the growers did from beginning to end, including the cost, space and watts employed and actual yield. The index is particularly well done. He is so proud of his new book, that he personally offers a "money back guarantee". See "author comments". This book has always been a top seller, for us, and judging from the runaway sales the first month of publication, the trend continues. We have sold more copies of this book than any other indoor marijuana cultivation book in history. To date, we sold foreign rights in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, and Netherlands.

People ask me all the time to recommend a grow book. Without fail, I always point to Mr. Cervantes work. He has been a respectable icon in the cannabis world for many years, and really knows his stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bud says, April 26 2004
This review is from: Indoor Marijuana Horticulture (Paperback)
Grown a garden before and needed help with pests and problems? I did, but then I got this book. With this book I saved the crop this year, from spider mites to mold - we had it all and were able to find the answers we needed in the Indoor Bible.
The color pictures and drawings are really clear and helpful, and the whole book reminds me of a college text book with it's sections in logical order and a bunch of references at your fingertips to help figure things out.
There are a lot of grow books out there with lots of pretty pictures, but this one is seriously informative and yet easy to use for all us stoners. Great tips on security and safety of indoor gardening make this a lifesaver considering the current state of paranoia in some countries.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not measure up to hype, April 22 2004
By
This review is from: Indoor Marijuana Horticulture (Paperback)
Frankly, and with all due respect to the author who is recognized as the pre-eminent authority in the field, I was quite disappointed with this book, particularly since it is called the "Bible" of indoor cultivation. This latest edition is rife with typographical and grammatical errors, as well as frequently missing words that often change the entire meaning of a sentence. Author frequently gives contradictory advice from one sentence to the next, and repeats himself in other sentences. Repeats himself in other sentences. Uses three sentences where one would do. Often says the same thing several times, several ways in succeeding sentences/paragraphs.

It was my honest impression that Mr. Cervantes did not use a proofreader in his latest edition of what has been hailed as a classic for many years. The result is a book that comes across as quite amateurish. Further, I found the book poorly organized and the information alternated between so basic as to be common sense and so techno-jargon ladden as to be incomprehensible. Very little middle ground.

Sorry Jorge, I gotta give this one a pan. I know you are capable of better.
