Amazon.ca Product Description

Enter the Matrix features awesome gunplay and spectacular martial arts that bend the rules of the Matrix, insane driving and stunts, and the chance to pilot the fastest hovercraft in the fleet. This game isn't just set in the Matrix universe-it's an integral part of the entire Matrix experience, with a story that weaves in and out of The Matrix: Reloaded, the sequel to the Academy Award-winner. Enter the Matrix is the story-behind-the-story. Enter the Matrix Game Features: Highly original blend of the best-selling console game genres: Action/Exploration/Fighting/Driving. A game script written and directed by the Wachowski Brothers', the writing-directing team behind the Matrix movie trilogy. Nearly one full hour of exclusive, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN Matrix footage using the film's actors and crew. Likeness and voice-overs of key characters from The Matrix Reloaded, including Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), Morpheus (Lawrence Fishburne), Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving), Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith), Ghost (Anthony Wong), Sparks (Lachy Hulme) and Persephone (Monica Bellucci). Truly authentic, photo-realistic Matrix "look" based on unparalleled collaboration with the actual movie-making production crew. Contains incredible visual effects, including advanced particle engine and world destruction as seen in the Matrix movie. Players will see, only after playing the game, that their actions can actually have an effect on the movie The Matrix Reloaded. When seeing the movie gamers will realize how what they see on screen actually ties in with the game they've played. Same musicians and SoundFX in-movie AND in-game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Awful!! Horrible!! Terrible!! $#&@!!, July 16 2004

This review is from: Enter the Matrix (Video Game)
There are many things wrong with this game, too many. The graphics don't "make you feel like you're watching the movie", they remind you of an old PlayStation, even the Xbox version. Arms and guns are seen popping through walls, cutscenes have below average resolution at best.

Adding to the terror of this game is the fact that you play as Niobe and Ghost. Niobe and Ghost? What were the designers thinking? Maybe to add more understanding to the story, but in an awful way. They have almost nothing to do with the story, it would have been way better to add extra missions as Morpheus and his chums that added to the story.

Combat is stupid. Opponents, even Agents, are little challenge at all. A few punched will KO any security officer or SWAT member, and some focus combos will even beat up Agents. Shooting is terrible as well, choppy and random, there is little way to control the accuracy of your shots (rather then enter "sniper mode" where you can't move). Enemies will fly back as if they were shot by a tank, after getting a .38 shot at them.

Driving is ATROCIOUS!!! Don't do it! Pay someone to beat the driving levels for you, do anything to avoid the driving levels.

Focus is the saving grace of this game, adds ONE WHOLE STAR TO THE GAME! You can do cool moves, and aim better, but after a while it feels completely fake, way more then it should.

I am sorry I ran out of synonyms for bad throughout this review, and I give props to anyone who found more ways to say BAD!

Don't buy this game.
