When you put this album on to play, have a bucket ready to catch your face, because you're going to rock out so hard your face WILL melt off. The sheer mangitude of awesomeness this album puts out will amaze you. You'll hear some new sounds not heard before in Dragonforce's music, as well as some truely awe-inspiring instrumentals (including a 120 second one on the first song!). You'll also hear more of the same Dragonforce quality power metal, only faster, harder and stronger. This album is the greatest thing since the discovery of music. No joke.

The review below says it all. My favorite, NEWER, metal bands are C.O.B., Kalmah, Norther, At The Gates and some others and if you like those bands you will love Dragonforce. Imagine the speed and intense solos of those bands, teamed with lyrical power not seen in metal since Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden ;)
The first track (Through the Fire and Flames) has a music video and shouldn't be hard to find on Youtube or sumthing if you are wanting a full listen of a song to help you decide.

Talk about Intense! From start to finish this is power metal to the max. This is some of the best sounding guitar and vocals I have ever heard from a power metal band. The combination is amazing. The drums are insane, and I think Herman just might be one of the best guitarists around. This music packs a powerful punch and is some of the fastest I have ever heard. Fans of power metal and speed, watch out, because Dragonforce will blow you away. later.

A mate of mine calls this happy metal and the name is apt-It's hard not to smile from the very opening riffs of this album. It's cheesy olde skool metal at its best: lots of battle imagery, endless solos and all fast-paced clean-sounding fury. But the guitar work is excellent and the vocals suit perfectly and if you aren't nodding your head in the first minute then this ain't for you-if you are then it is a treat long enjoyed.

See them live too-all the energy of the album is magnified in the live setting...
