Like everyone else, I'm very happy with this CD player. I like the adjustable bass because it means that it doesn't have too much bass (probably unlike most others, who want lots of bass, lol). It would have been better for the company to include an AC adapter, so I guess I'll be buying one. I don't have anything suitable in my small collection of electronics and I suspect my battery cost could climb alarmingly otherwise. It's been very good for what I'm using it for - listening to music while I'm working. I can't say too much about the radio part. I live at some distance from broadcasting towers and reception is uncertain at the best of times.

I am adding that I never received the remote that was advertised as a part of the purchase price. I have contacted both Insignia and Amazon and have not received any indication that they are planning to provide one. I'm quite disappointed in the service from both businesses. Thus I'm downgrading this item to 4 stars.

Works good. No complains. Except sometimes takes more time to load mp3 CD.

HASH(0x9c937864) out of 5 stars Great CD player for the price June 25 2013

I bought this CD player because it plays MP3 burned CDs and because CDs are all I can listen to at work - no IPODS or anything like that. It's got good bass-boost, comes with a remote/extension thingy, and reads CDs perfectly. Plays FM radio too and the remote/extension acts as a pretty good antenna. The CD player has good sound. My only complaint is that the display cycles the name of what is playing WAY too slow and cuts off much of the tracks's information as well. besides that itsgreat.

HASH(0x9d3ccff0) out of 5 stars Amazing Deal Since It's 3 In 1! March 14 2013

Let me just sat I really tested this and it doesn't skip a beat. You can jam like there's no tomorrow, turn it sideways, I even dropped it on the bed and it never had any interrupted play. 1) You get all the best features of a CD player, like pause, rewind/forward, and repeat. 2) Then you get all the best features of an MP3 player, randomize, skip, and search, the display even shows artist and title of your tracks. And 3) You get a radio tuner, that comes with preset options to save your favorite stations, like The Sound or K-ROQ.

It's well worth the price because your getting a CD, MP3, and Radio in 1 great player. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who loves listening to music , and needs to replace their broken electronics. Love, love, love it! =]

HASH(0x9d827c18) out of 5 stars Absolutely incredible CD Player for 6 bucks!! Dec 30 2010

I gave this five stars because it deserves it, this little guy has extra base button and it works very very well, its easy to program and the thing programs 20 preset radio stations and has a lock button to lock all the function buttons so while out and about you wont accidently press something you dont wish to be pressing. I have a universal power plug I am using for it and am using the skullcandy headphones with its own built in subwoofer and this is better sounding than most home systems. Buy it before they run out this is a warehouse closeout.

HASH(0x9c9372f4) out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT FOR MP3 CD LOVERS! Sept. 22 2010

I have a large collection of old-time radio shows I keep permanently on mp3 cds, as well as an enormous music collection, and this is the perfect vehicle for listening to them. I do wish it had a bookmark featue, but perhaps that isn't feasible for this technology. It suits my needs perfectly otherwise and I highly recommend it.

HASH(0x9c397c48) out of 5 stars Product Works as described but it's a shame it didn't come with an AC adaptor. Feb. 23 2015

We've only had the Insignia Portable CD player for a few weeks but so far it is working as described. Just be sure that the CD is firmly snapped into place. We thought we had done that the first time we used it, but when we got no sound, we realized it had to be pushed a bit farther down onto the spindle. Skipping tracks is no problem and the fast forward works well. Sound quality is decent for what is a relatively small device, but you will probably want to use an upgraded set of headphones if you really want to appreciate the music. We knew that an AC adaptor was not included, but for what little extra it would have cost the manufacturer, it's unfortunate that they didn't take that extra step and provide one. Many of the adaptors online are sort of "all in ones" meaning they allow for a myriad of different current requirements when you really only need the one that is applicable to this particular product. We were lucky that the Phillips portable CD player that we were replacing had come with an adaptor that is compatible with the Insignia. Therefore, we didn't need to buy one. If you are also purchasing the Insignia to replace an older model, even if that older model is from a different manufacturer and that older model had an AC adaptor, you might want to check it. If its AC adaptor has a yellow color coded input tip, it will work with the Insignia.
