I quite liked it. None of the American style blood and guts. Realistic people with the odd turn of plot.

The Brits have done it again - a series worthy of being a successor to "Morse". Of course, I always liked 'Lewis' anyway as Morse's side-kick. It's so nice to see an old friend again. This series is a wonderful continuation as with the Lewis we know and love, and his new side-kick - Hathaway - so much like Morse in so many ways. Well, written, strong cast, just so well done all round.My hat's off to the People behind this wonderful series. I eagerly look forward to more. Well done Lewis. Well done Hathaway!

Well written, well cast, beautifully filmed, great music. And who would ever have believed a spin-off from Morse could possibly work? Well, not only does it work, it's better than I could ever have expected. May there be many, many more!
