Intego's VirusBarrier X6 is the best anti-virus software I've used on any system. I've had problems with anti-virus programs slowing down my PC or conflicting with Windows security features. So I wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen to my new MacBook, running Snow Leopard. I'm pleased to say it has not affected my MacBook's performance at all. VirusBarrier is simple to install and use and now I feel much better knowing not only is my personal information on my MacBook safe, but I won't be passing virus' to other family members who still have Windows based PCs.

VirusBarrier works in the background but you can do daily or weekly scans of your entire system with one click. It's easy to set preferences and you really don't have to be a computer "expert" to use it. VirusBarrier updates itself at least once a week so that's about the only time you'll hear from it unless it finds a virus. VirusBarrier found 2 viruses for me so far this year and it killed them instantly. I recommend this excellent piece of software without reservation.

This product absolutely wrecked my Internet and system performance. :( It consumes up to 60% of my CPU at any given time and slowed my wired Internet connection from 18 Mbps to 300Kbps. Basic Internet lags, startup and shutdown is HORRIBLY slow. It's making my computer unusable and I'm going to go home tonight and strip this thing off my computer.
