Awsome. Jan. 6 2013

Format: Paperback
Emphasises the architectural side of interior design, rather than the paint n' fabric side of it; this is not the reason for the good review, you just need to be aware. What was really good was the density of the ideas that were presented. By 'dense' I don't mean that they were not accessible, I mean that there were a lot of them, they were accessible, they were well organised and it was easy to add them, one to the next to have a whole body of knowledge. You know how some books have so many words and manage not to say much? Well, this book was the opposite. A book guilty of doing that is Interior Design (4th Edition), but it still has a lot of information in it because it is so big.

beautifully illustrated book June 24 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: Paperback
This book is amazingly illustrated. It really captured my imagination and sparked a lot of creativity in me. I'm not a design professional nor student but merely a homeowner going through my first home renovation. The drawings present the concepts in such a great way that resonates even with a layperson like me. This really made me appreciate the design discussions I am having with my architect and interior designers. If i was an architecture or interior design student, I would hope that this book was a core text in the curriculum. There is so much knowledge and theory packed into every page that you can gaze at any portion of a page and feel like you are soaking in centuries of interior design learning.
