About the Author
Corky Binggeli, ASID, is principal of Corky Binggeli Interior Design in Arlington, Massachusetts. She received her master of interior design degree from Boston Architectural College, and is NCIDQ certified. A past president of ASID New England, Binggeli is the author of Building Systems for Interior Designers; Materials for Interior Environments; Interior Design: A Survey; Graphic Standards Field Guide to Commercial Interiors; and, with Francis D. K. Ching, Interior Design Illustrated, Second Edition, all published by Wiley.
Patricia Greichen, Allied Member ASID, is principal of Simpatico Design in Reading, Massachusetts. Her firm specilizes in residential design. She received her degree in interior design from Newbury College. She has served on the board of directors for ASID New England.

My bookshelf has all the past editions of the John Wiley & Sons Graphic Standards volumes. As an architect practicing over 25 years these hold a proud position in my professional library. This second edition of the Interior Graphic Standards is a great continuation of the quality, depth and scholarly approach to the field you would expect. Great classic detail drawings and CD version available with useable files for office application. buy one now for your office or for a friend.

With excellent graphics (including thousands of detail drawings and thumbnail views) this book provides state of the art practical information, particularly useful and de-mystifying to those new to the profession. Though titled "Interior Graphic Standards" the subject matter goes well beyond that implied parameter to include the full spectrum of building categories: structure, exterior enclosure, mechanical systems, and equipment, in addition to the familiar topics of interior construction, finishes, and furnishings. Supplementary chapters include BIM (building information modeling), historic preservation, inclusive design and sustainable design that will enable the reader to be conversant in both interior and architectural design. Architects will find the chapters on interior finishes and furnishings especially useful. Highly recommended as a basic reference for students and design professionals alike.

Interior Graphic Standards 2nd Edition has thousands of carefully edited detail drawings, along with well-researched descriptions of interior construction. This is the first place to look for design and construction drawing information. A CD with CAD images is also available. Highly recommended for all design offices, and a great gift for graduates!
