Lack of substance for the most part... March 2 2010
By Joseph Ratliff - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
To me, this book presented itself as a collection of articles (poorly edited in some respects) about affiliate marketing for the most part.

The title should have been "Affiliate Marketing From The Real Experts".

The book is an easy read, as most of the articles are pretty short in nature, covering a wide variety of topics...but none in depth. If you're getting started in affiliate marketing, this might be a good "primer" of sorts...but as a resource you'll constantly refer to, in my opinion this book gets low marks.

Better than one man's opinion, learn from a variety of the top minds in the industry Jan. 25 2010
By R. Cress - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
There are any number of books written by individuals, often more for personal gain than as a vehicle for presenting valuable information. This book shatters that mold by consolidating targeted, actionable articles from some of the best minds in the industry into one, easy to read tome.
No matter what area of online marketing you are interested in, you'll find relevant articles that will help you to succeed.
The only thing that might make it better is if I were included in the book. (maybe next time) :)

Interesting Book - you can learn a lot Jan. 26 2010
By J. Wilson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I really enjoyed reading the articles from many different authors. This is a great book to learn the ins and outs of internet marketing from people who have the experience to back it up. The book is easy to read and gives you great insight, especially for someone who is new to the industry. Great book to keep around for reference.

Great For Beginners. Good Information. Jan. 22 2010
By Michael Jolley - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
There's a lot of crap out there marketed to affiliate newbies. This book isn't crap.

Missy & Shawn have a vested interest in your success as an affiliate marketer. Why? Because they run the Affiliate Summit conferences. As such they've seemingly taken on the mantle of all things affiliate on their shoulders. If you succeed, you're likely to go to the summit.

Running the summit has also provided Missy & Shawn with an opportunity to befriend innovative super affiliates, many of which they feature in the book.

Now, don't expect to gain some super secret tip by reading the book. That isn't going to happen. This book is more about giving you ideas. It's about getting a feel for how the industry leaders think. It's also about blocking & tackling basics that you have to nail if you're going to win.

I had to throw in that football analogy. If you read Shawn's blog, you know he's a big J-E-T-S fan. They're going to lose to the Colts this weekend and you're gonna feel like you got punched in the stomach Shawn. LOL.

Back to the review. Get the book. Read it. It's worth it.

My Kind of Book - A Must Read Jan. 29 2010
By Baltimore Bill - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If this were fiction it would be an anthology of (very) short stories, however it is NOT fiction. This is an education in Affiliate Marketing and all that implies - and likely more valuable than a semester in an MBA program at a "name" school. The people and their "lessons" as presented in this compilation are of real-world experience, not hypothesis.

The best part of this text is that it can be digested in tiny bites. Every lesson in each of the 11 chapters is no more than two pages long. This is a book you can pick up and work on as time allows. Each of the people represented (and, surprisingly, I know a third of them personally) is talented and well respected in several aspects of affiliate marketing. They willingly share "tips of the trade" that help make them each successful in their own right. You will learn a lot - from people who can teach you a lot.

No fluff, no bull; just the facts, as the title states, "from the Real Experts." Overall, an excellent read!

- Bill Swartwout, Founder, Beaches and Towns Network, Inc.
