Aden Stone is a sixteen-year-old boy with four souls living inside his body. One can time travel, one can raise the dead, one can tell the future, and one can possess another human being. He has spent most of his life in and out of institutions, never really making friends. He doesn't like having the souls sharing his body. A lot of problems have been caused due to Aden not being able to control the powers that the souls have. Aden soon gets sent to a ranch for troubled boys, and his first week there he meets a girl, Mary Ann. Mary Ann is the exact opposite of Aden. She has friends and he spends most of his time alone. Being around Mary Ann quiets the voices. They form a bond of friendship that neither really understands. She meets a werewolf shape-shifter and he meets a vampire princess. Two forbidden romances begin amidst the dangerous lives that the friends have found. INTERTWINED contains beautifully written characters that keep you entranced from page one. I simply could not put this book down until the very end. Gena Showalter's characters are an engaging and exciting group that, when woven together, form a beautiful tapestry that adults and teens alike will enjoy. If this is just the beginning of Harlequin's new teen line, then we the readers will definitely not be disappointed. We have much to look forward to! Reviewed by: Breia "The Brain" Brickey

NON-PUT DOWNABLE!,

Wow. What a fabulous book. This one really surprised me with how many plot twists and turns there were, some of them I thought I knew but didn't and some I guessed right. Either way it was great! The main character Aden is so down and alone, all he wants is to be normal and have normal friends but that is impossible because he has 4 souls living inside his head that never stop talking. The 4 souls have special abilities that make it impossible for Aden to fit in, especially when he can meet someone and know when they are going to die and how, the worst is there is nothing he can do to help. Aden's been moved around from foster home to foster home and doesn't know anything about his past. He has visions of things to come and can't wait to finally see the one girl in his vision...he's never had a girlfriend and he really hopes to have his first in this girl. I liked that this book has so many supernatural beings; it kept the story going at a great pace. Never once did it get boring. The romance was really nice and sweet, sometimes a little cheesy where I had to smile... but I loved it anyway, maybe because of how I much I grew to love the characters. I even had a couple little tears near the end of the book. I am very anxious to start Unravelled, I need to know what happens!

Excellently Original,

This book was really cool. It's about a boy with 4 other people living in his head. Because of this he has been labled as schizophrenic and has been passed from one mental institution to the next. He's now at a ranch for troubled boys and has gotten a bit of his life back. Then everything gets crazy, each person in his head can do something different. Time travel, raise the dead, predict the future, and posses other people and things. And if thats not enough all of a sudden he's involved with werewolves, vampires, witches, fairies, and all sorts of other creatures. This book was very original and the ending made me want to die because it left of on a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next one. It was well written, even if I at times I laughed at some of the cheesy things the main character said to his vampire girlfriend (or at least he wishes she was his girlfriend)the characters were likeable and interesting. All in all it was suspenseful, interesting, and you won't be able to put it down. I highly reccommend it.
