Wow!,

This review is from: Intimate Adventures/London Call Girl TV (Paperback)
Like the series, this one is hard hitting and so real! It's also kinda fun to read, as in you want to know what happens next and so on and so forth. It's an easy read, that's for sure and no pun intended! I found Belle to be captivating and interesting. All in all, this is one I am glad I picked up! I also liked: Take Your Shirt Off: A Novel of Hollywood.

I loved this book so much that I read it in two days. It' so funny to read and the author is a magnificent writer! I felt it did give me a sense of her experience of a call girl, which is very different that what I've been reading lately (books on human trafficking and the underworld of the sex industry). I really enjoyed the stories and the people she met along the way. Great read!

This review is from: Intimate Adventures/London Call Girl TV (Paperback)
I am a major fan of Secret Diary of a Call Girl, at TV-series based on the book. As usual, I watched most of the seasons before buying it (therefore I am rarely disappointed). The book was written by Dr Brooke Magnanti, who worked as a high class escort during her studies. She remained anonymous until The Sunday Times revealed her identity. The format is similar to Bridget Jones' Diary. It talks about sex. a lot. It is very raw. For instance, Belle gives advice about everything sex-related. From how to be an excellent escort to the art of fisting. This book is not for the faint-hearted or the super strong feminists, who will say it glamorizes prostitution. If you still talk about the "birds and the bees" and call a penis a wee-wee and a vagina a va-jay-jay, you might find the book a little hard to read. Yet, now's the time to start saying the real words for everything related to sexuality! Highly recommended if you are a fan of Bridget Jones and Anaïs Nin, or you simply enjoy reading about sex. PS. Enjoy the faces of the people around you when you read the book in a public place. They are either intrigued (and are too ashamed to ask about it) or completely disgusted. It's hilarious.
