Excellent! Sept. 22 2010

I love how the "three Dans" incorporated humor into the learning process with this textbook. There's a diagram on what seems like every page, which really helps me since I'm a visual learner, and the little interesting facts thrown in keep you intrigued; I find myself actually wanting to read the chapter instead of looking at it as a chore. If you need this book for a Psych class but are undecided on whether to spend the money or not, buy it! You'll definitely get your money's worth if you take the course seriously and read the book.

More than just a Textbook..Entertaining Dec 15 2010

I just finished my first level psychology course and if it was not my major already after reading this book it would be. This book is captivating, entertaining, humorous, and fun. It's one that I would want to pull out and read after the course is long over with it's that good for anyone interested in an introduction to psychology or remotely curious. It gives you a birds eye view of the large spectrum that psychology is today and psychology is a massive amount of information and knowledge.

I really love how visual the book is. Very colorful and so many pictures, graphs of statistics from studies. It even has some very funny cartoons. It keeps you interested and engaged by provoking your own thinking with questions and interesting facts.

I really love this book and wish all textbooks were this wonderfully put together.

Comprehensive but physically flimsy. Feb. 3 2012

Ordered this book several weeks ago for my psychology class. It was written in a lighthearted tone and has more than enough information on the subject matter it covers. HOWEVER... I know it's the paperback but this book is almost too large to be printed on anything less than hardcover. If you aren't willing to deal with a book that's comically easy to deform, do yourself a favor and try to find a hardcover.

Paperback is how this was described. Actually there was no back or front for that matter, paper or other wise. What came was loose pages from book. The binding had been removed and the insides shipped.
