About the Author
As a voice teacher and singer, Alan has long been recognized as an exceptional performing artist who takes audiences on extraordinary journeys of the heart. He can be heard as singer/songwriter on his solo CD recording, Child of the Moon (I Virtuosi Records). He has appeared in cabaret and concert throughout the United States and Europe, and as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, New York City Opera National Company, the Spoleto Festival (Italy and USA), and the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. His voice students appear regularly in leading roles on Broadway and in most of the major opera houses of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Seattle Opera, Mostly Mozart Festival, the Salzburg Festival, Vienna State Opera, Bayreuth, and Paris Opera, and in many regional musical theaters around the country.
Alan offers ongoing classes and workshops in New York City. He divides his time between his office and studio in New York City and his Catskill Mountain home in Sullivan County, New York.
