Wildberger's commentary is more clinical and exhaustive than many readers expect. The chapters break down verse by verse beginning with the Hebrew syntax .... (it helps if you can read some Hebrew to understand the point Wildberger is trying to make on the Hebrew text) and summarizing in great detail the meaning of the Hebrew to an "interpretation". This is very different than mainstream commentaries who analyze just an English translation and come up with a thought on the meaning of the text. The work is very exhaustive and some will be disappointed as the chapters are academic in their approach and does not make for easy reading. From a teacher's point of view, this work is outstanding for class or lecture preparation.
