I bought this book online because it was much cheaper than any store i found it in. It came earlier than the seller told me it would too, which is always a bonus.

IT'S CHRISTMAS, DAVID!
What luck this book arrived a few days before Christmas. What fun for me to sit on the couch with my three year old Paige snuggled next to me as we read the current adventures of David -- on Christmas morning together! As usual, David is a little stinker and it being Christmas time is no exception. David is playing with tree ornaments, looking for his presents, sneaking cookies, being a bad little boy! And Santa is watching, but David just can't help himself. On one page we saw David streaking down the street dressed only in a Christmas hat! When I asked Paige if he was being a bad boy she said YES, YOU SHOULD ONLY RUN AROUND NAKED IN YOUR HOUSE! Out of the mouth of babes! Does David get presents from Santa for being a good boy? Or has David been so bad that he receives nothing but a big old lump of coal? Read the book with your babies and find out! As usual, the illustrations are wonderfully life-like and definitely kid oriented. David's facial expressions speak volumes. My personal favorite picture was of David in his pajamas looking out his window into the night, searching for the man in red. What a great book to give to those kids in your life any time of the year, but especially at Christmas time! David is always a joy to bring into your house. Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pam 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful:

David Books.....,
By Sandra281 "Sandra" - Published on Amazon.com

My Grandson Ethan loves All of the "David" books and so do I.
I've tried to buy every David book I can find because I know that Ethan will be so happy to receive it and read them. Ethan loves the David books so much that he asked me to create a No! Ethan book for him and I did!!! I can't tell you the look on his face when I gave him his very own No! Ethan book, it was priceless and worth the hours I spent making it. The character of David is too cute and a bit mischievious and very sweet indeed and it's funny as well and we laugh at the situations little David gets into. The David books are short, fun and totally keeps the interests of a small child. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful:

Another winnier from David,

My kids love the David Shannon books. Though some might find his style odd, I think it's delightful, funny and captures expression in a unique and deft way. One of my favorite all-time illustrations of his is the "leaves falling from tress" in Alice the Fairy, because the sheer joy is so touching and humorous.
The David character is a rascal, and some parents may take pause at how he writes his name in the snow, but he's very much an endearing, human and memorable kid, during the holidays or anytime. |
