Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures: Adventures in Africa are epsiodes of his program that focus on Africa.
They are actually pretty fun although they also are serious and do teach about the animals and their environments. But Hanna can be funny and goofy and is always good for a laugh.
The shows go by quickly. The wildlife photography is usually average and not long enough and sometimes the storyline of getting to a location dwarfs the footage of the animals. So, yeah, I wish we had more animal footage and less Hanna's trek in getting to the animals.
Also, Africa gets old after awhile and because the shows are sometimes years part there is some repetition in the kinds of animals and the places covered. Also, annoyingly the episodes are all mixed up and are not in chronological order! So one episode has an older "Jungle Jack" and the next one has a much younger one!
All in all it is good for the whole family. I bought these shows for my mother and we watched them together. One good thing is that it has a minimum of animals being stalked and killed on camera, which I do not enjoy seeing. Usually, we see a lion or something watching prey and getting ready to pounce then it cuts to the big cats eating. I wish some of the other animal programs would do tis.
