Product Description

From Amazon.com

When Andy Warhol made his prophetic comment about fame, he could not possibly have anticipated the lengths some would go to get their 15 minutes. Consider Johnny Knoxville and his posse of merry pranksters. These are America's funniest home videos, a generous and representative sampling of segments from the notorious MTV series Jackass, which capture men behaving very badly, and very stupidly. Knoxville and company are mostly content to do injury to themselves and each other (their poor and battered groins alone must be eligible for combat pay). Other segments have a demented Candid Camera quality. In one, Chris Pontius dons a werewolf suit and runs amok through London. In another, two hockey players continue their "fight" inside a store. Throwaway bits, such as the popping of a blackhead, cleanse the palate between stunts. As one observer notes: "You'd have to be an idiot to try this." Watching this, however, is another matter. And by the way, there is no volume 1; go figure. --Donald Liebenson

Video Details

Due to some random haggard circumstances, Volume 1 of the Jackass TV series isn't coming out anytime soon. But in the meantime here's Volume 3. Volume three of the Jackass series contains a random, haggard selection of segments and bits that aired on our crappy little television show. Memorable moments in this half-ass collection include the recitation of the Gettysburg Address by Johnny Knoxville while a beard of leeches is applied to his ruggedly handsome face, Chris Pontius stripping down for the pleasure of five other dudes, Wee Man and Preston Lacy pulling a "poo switcheroo" with a porta-potty, Dave England digging through the trash and unearthing a tasty treat in a diaper, and a bunch of other absurd stunts, pranks and queer misbehavior from our bumbling cat and crew of idiots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Volume 3 is Even Better than 2, Mar 5 2004
This review is from: Jackass Vol 3 (VHS Tape)
Hoorah!!! And I didn't think it could get any better than Jackass Volume 2. This edition is packed to the gills with knee-slapping laughs - for you Jackass fans, it's a must-own.

The strong points in Volume 2 are some of the best, and though there are a few slow points overall, they don't take away from the whole show. Some of the best include: Bottle Skating, Metro Bunny, Nutball, The Omelette, Bloody Windshield, Bloody Carpet, and, of course, the absolutely priceless Office Chairs. Hysterical.

Naturally, this isn't good viewing for the straight-laced, uptight naysayers out there - Jackass is definitely a specific taste. But if it's your thing, this DVD is not to be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Chaos and Insanity Continues! WOO-HOO!!!, Dec 19 2002

This review is from: Jackass: Vol. 3 (DVD)
Yes kiddies, if Volume 2 wasn't enough for you, "Jackass: Volume 3" is here to give you more laughs, more cringes, more sickness, and more pain. Some people think the show is utterly stupid and pointless. Yeah.... and the problem is? That's why it's so funny.

This isn't for people with weak stomachs. A lot of the things you're going to see on this DVD are going to make you sick and cringe a lot... but you'll be laughing like hell if you're a sick and twisted S.O.B. like me!

When you purchase Volume 3, expect to see this: Bounty hunter, beard of leeches, full pipe skating, bottle skating, hot dog skate boarding, security guard, nutball, spermathon, fat ---- #2, and much, much more. Once again, nakedness is blurred (not really a bad thing if you ask me) and cuss words are bleeped. Still I do not know why they feel that the actually swearing has to be bleeped out and yet swears in the background music can still be left in. Oh well.

And again, no spectacular special features included, but it's the 77 minutes of hilarity and madness of the actual show that counts. The few features included are things like a trivia game, photo gallery, and cast bios.

So if you think you can take another dose of Jackass, then by all means pick up "Jackass: Volume 3." While it may not be as good as Volume 2, it is still a very worthy purchase. Be prepared to laugh, cringe, and be disgusted. All that fun stuff, right? I thought you'd agree with me.

Kids, don't try this at home. Until you are an actual member of the official show, just stick to watching so I don't have to hear parents and the news complain about how terrible of a show it is. All right? Think you can do that? Great. Thank you.
