Martin O'Brien was educated at the Oratory School and Hertford College Oxford. He started his career as a copy-sub, going on to become Travel Editor of Vogue. He left Vogue to write ALL THE GIRLS. This story builds brilliantly,the scene is set perfectly the characters introduced slowly until Jaquot makes his entrance which is cool,calm and stylish just like the music he listens to.

Excellent book! I discovered the author (Martin O'Brien) by accident and am starting to work my way through his Daniel Jacquot books. They are excellent murder mysteries with lots of colorful characters. The detective Jacquot is cool as a cucumber, very casual, but thorough, about his investigations, plus he is a very likeable main charater. If you like murder you'll like this book.
