This review is from: James Bond 007: Goldeneye with Pro Controller (Video Game)
Let me be clear, Goldeneye Wii is amazing. It faithfully captures everything that made the N64 version so good and updated it to today's standards. The updated story with Daniel Craig as the new Bond is faithfully recreated while adding new twists by using technology from today's era. Playing on multiple difficulties actually adds new objectives which really adds to the replayability of the game. The Gold Pro Controller is a nice touch, but it isn't required to play the game. My friends actually enjoy the remote/nunchuk combo better and it's clear to see why. The controls are probably the best that the Wii has for any game so far. The graphics really push what has been done on the Wii and it's hard to imagine any game that will look better now that this game has come out. Multiplayer splitscreen is exactly what you want if you have played the original game. You have all the modes unlocked from the start, so you wont have to enter any cheat codes, and new games modes have been added. The online mode is even better than splitscreen although there is no voice chat. You actually gain experience points to level up your character's weapons etc..For the faithful fans of the original, this game will let you re-live the glory days and special moments of the N64 classic. For new fans, this game is going to be hard to beat in terms of gameplay, graphics, story and online play. Goldeneye is back with a vengeance, and to quote the movie, "I am invincible!"
