From Booklist
Flowerdew emphasizes interesting and useful interactions between different plants, between plants and animals, and between plants and their environment. He writes that plants can be used effectively to improve the environment, microclimate, and soil and to attract and provide shelter and food for other forms of life, which in turn benefit the plants. There's a detailed list of plants that are suitable for certain places in the garden or that thrive together. Flowerdew has practiced his principles of companion planting in his own garden in Norfolk, England; however, his approach is applicable here. Jacqui Hurst's 150 opulent color photographs accompany.
