Probably the best book of the series- a must read!, Mar 7 2011
WARNING: Under no circumstances should you read the following if you have not read the first two books in the "Strange Angel" series (and this review does contain spoilers of this book so if you don't want to it be wrecked for you, continue no further!).
Lili touches upon quite a few topics in this book that she doesn't in the others (or she tries to in the other books, but you know, characters get in the way, interrupting one another and everything... Ugh, darn characters!) and she fully explains these topics/ ideas, unlike in the other books, and therefore we aren't left questioning as much as we usually are *does happy dance*, especially from page 130 onwards. Combined with the pace of this story (which is super fast), I think what we might just have the best book in the series (even if it totally breaks your heart)!
In my review of "Betrayals" I said that I believed Ash to be the most intriguing character of the series and that still rings true. I just really, really, REALLY, want to know what his endgame is! In this book I thought that it was really nice to see him being able to communicate more and more (like when he kept pointing at the door and pointing at Dru meaning "Missy, you have got to get out of this room before the suckers decide to snack on you!"). Also, towards the very end of the book when he was in the informatory and his body kept shifting back and forth? My heart was so happy!
And like I mentioned earlier, this book will totally break your heart. For a number of reasons. If you are team one boy and read what happens between Dru and that boy, you will be totally happy, but then all of a sudden BAM! The tables completely turn and it starts to seem like Dru is leaning towards the other boy, and you will be heartbroken (or vice versa, you will be totally rooting and thinking "Way to make the right decision Dru!"). And even if you are not a fan of one of these boys, when you hear what horrible-ness is happening to one of them? Well, you will become a fan and you will pray that it all ends well for him.
All in all, this is the best book in the series. Again, we are introduced to a ton of new characters (I must say that Leon is by far my favourite character introduced in this book- I just love his dry humor/ snarkiness). I think that "Defiance", the next book in the series, will boil down to is what who will Dru choose? The boy that she feels the most comfortable with? Or the boy that she feels passionate towards?

All in all Jealousy is my favorite so far in the series, Sep 21 2011
I don't usually talk about the cover, but is it just me or is it ruining the theme of the previous covers? I mean the model doesn't seem very Dru-like.
Jealousy starts about a week after Betrayals. Dru has finally made it to the Schola Prima - the school she was supposed to go to and the headquarters of the Order. She's not as safe as she thought she was, Anna the only other svetocha (half vampire half human girl) seems to hate her and since she's the head of the Order - well to say the least Dru is obviously not safe there.
Now what I liked about Jealousy is that we really have a presence of an antagonist, in the other book we know that Sergej, the King of Vampires is the main villain and that he's always lurking somewhere but Anna has more of a presence since we see plenty of her in the book.
We finally see how the Order runs - we meet the council members and many new things are revealed about Elizabeth (Dru's mother) and we see her connection to Anna as well as Christophe. Things also get more heated up with Dru and Graves as well as Dru and Christophe. There's plenty of scenes for fans of either of them to enjoy. Of course we see Dibs, Shanks and Ash again.
Dru is also going through some character development, I think she's starting to trust more. Graves changes a lot too - he's not that same scared kid we saw in the first book, he's tougher - I'm sure you know what I mean if you read Betrayals.
All in all Jealousy is my favorite so far in the series, though I'll get back to you after I finished reading Defiance, the next book. Well, what else can I say? This is my second time reading through the series and it's one of my favorites and if you haven't given it a try than you're missing out!

Amazing!, Dec 18 2010
I have just been introduced to the series, and have speeded through them with relish. This third book in the series was, if possible, even better than the second. The characters stay true to themselves, Graves is amazing and Dru is strong, Christophe is sooo sexy, and again we see lots of glimpses into Dru's life as a child and learn more about her mother. The book ended on a great cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next one!
