Please help! I want it!
Composer Bennett Salvay returns for the second "Jeepers Creepers" film and once again provides an awesome score. While not as thematic or atmospheric as the original soundtrack, this score--like the movie itself--is more action-packed than the original. There are echoes of the creepy original themes, especially in the tracks "Billy's Abduction" and "Creeper On The Cross", but what Salvay does fantastically is build on those themes and take some of the pounding action motifs from the film and expand on them too, for the huge action set-pieces, such as "Field Chase", "The Big Battle", "Bug Truck Chase", and "The Creepers Hops Among Us".
Some more quiet, restrained creepy music is offered in some of he early tracks as well as in "The Stabbing/End of Days".
Bennett Salvay has taken his music for the original and seamlessly transformed it into a much more frenzied horror-action score that will please fans of the original soundtrack/film. It is overall a satisfying installment in the franchise, although I wish that Salvay had used more of the original thematic material. But otherwise, we have a grand, thrilling new horror score to listen to back-to-back with the original. Definitely worth adding to your collection if you're a fan of horror film soundtracks! Let's hope that Salvay continues his creepin' scoring ways with the next installment!!
