Format: Paperback
Wodehouse is my favourite 20th century British writer. Here is a collection of what I feel is the best of the (Reginald) Jeeves and (Bertie) Wooster series. Its hilariousness never ceases, as we see in the stories how Bertie and his Drones Club pals come back again and again to the sage-like "gentleman's personal gentleman", Jeeves, to help get them out of, as Bertie would say "the proverbial soup".

Hugh Laurie's (Bertram W. Wooster in the 1990's BBC version) introduction is both informative and hilarious. I recommend this book highly if you want a starter Wodehouse book since you'll have three of the master's best. Once you start one you can't stop!!!

NOT an Omnibus June 1 2012
By T. L. Matthews - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased this, expecting a complete Jeeves selection, or at least a bunch of Jeeves, and instead, this is only 3 volumes in one. Not even the first three. This book includes only 'The Mating Season', 'The Code of the Woosters' and 'Right Ho, Jeeves'. Very disappointing. And since no one else took the time to provide this information, I'm giving it to you so you won't be misled as I was by the title.

Also, the text is tiny and the margins are large, making the book much larger than it had to be. I'd rather have tiny print right up to the edge of the page, or else larger print in the fatter book. Basically, a huge disappointment. Which I ordered from all the way across the pond.

Delightful! Wodehouse with a soupçon of Laurie Dec 20 2011
By A M Snyder - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The créme de la créme, the bees knees, the bestest of the best, literarily speaking, are the entrancing and hilarious Jeeves stories penned by P.G. Wodehouse. They are sublime and shimmer with intelligence, keen observation and wit. Plus the foreword by Hugh Laurie (who portrayed young Bertie in the classic Granada series) is delightfully in the same mode of fantastically British supreme self-deprecation to the point of utter and, in the original sense, fabulous, nonsense. If you have a sense of humor, or humour, you will very likely cherish these stories and if you've never read them before, I am desperately, desperately jealous.
