A classic, a must see for all Christians and for all humanity. Personally, I am not Christian, but Jesus' teachings are universal. People have a lot to learn from him. This movie respect what is written in the scriptures.

I was disappointed to find the movie all in spanish on the outside cover and DVD itself but when played the audio is English so I am keeping it but felt I was mislead as the description when I bought it said nothing about the cover and DVD being in Spanish. As it was a gift I felt like I was cheaping out and got some great deal as this was obviously a manufacturer mistake. I didn't save any money on it but I'm sure the seller got it cheap. Bad advertising.

This is one of the better portrayals of Jesus. Like any movie it has its great parts and others not so good! But overall a compelling picture of Jesus done with Zefferelli flair and good production. Robert Powell plays Jesus with strength and some emotion, not as wooden as many other Jesus' as in the Jesus Film. Overall this is way better than the Jesus film, but not as good as the Gospel of Matthew or the Gospel of John, which are more recent. But for great production scenes it is also hard to beat in parts.
